Cong unleashing ‘Mafia Raj’ in Karnataka: BJP
Bengaluru, Feb 3 (UNI) Bharatiya Janata Party on Saturday accused the ruling Congress party of unleashing a ‘Mafia Raj’ in Karnataka and supported criminal elements and terror-minded organisations like PFI and SDPI.
Speaking to reporters here, Political in-charge of the party in Karnataka K Muralidhar Rao said in the run up to the Assembly election the party will highlight how the Congress government was ‘abetting’ criminal elements and terror-linked organisations leading to several killings of BJP, RSS and pro-Hindu activists and how it ‘backed’ drug and sand Mafia.
‘BJP will not accept this Mafia Raj. The Siddaramaiah government is standing on its last legs and the coming election will trigger the end of Congress rule in the country,’ he said.
He said the party would also highlight how Congress had failed to ensure environment protection in the state that had resulted in severe pollution of lakes in Bengaluru. ‘It is sad state that the Bellandur lake, biggest lake in the city, water has turned into fire.
He said Chief Minister Siddaramaiah and Home Minister Ramalinga Reddy were lying to the people over the political deaths painting the victims, like Santosh who was murdered in Bengalure last week, as people with a doubtful past.
Mr Rao rejected Mr Reddy’s allegation that BJP was secretly aligning with SDPI but said it was Congress party which had a pact with AIMIM in Telangana and Andhra Pradesh that led to its debacle and the party was virtually wiped out in the two States.
He alleged that the Congress party was using the Muslims as ‘scape goats’ and supporting the anti-national elements from the minority community.
